PETROG at the Geological Society / PESGB Data

Held at 'Our Dynamic Earth', Holyrood Park.
PETROG is such a leap forward in petrographic data
acquisition that it is easy to overlook its
revolutionary data management, built on hierarchical
data structures and a syntax which allows the
software to handle geological data intelligently.
However, it is this hidden data management layer
that allows PETROG to provide its powerful
petrographic services seamlessly and apparently
effortlessly.
We do therefore like to tell people
about this side of the software, and to share the
technology for the benefit of petrography in
general. As part of this commitment to sharing and
promoting standards in petrography, over the years
we have made presentations at many conferences and
special interest groups, the latest being in
Edinburgh on 6/7th September 2010.
